THE RAISING FIGHTING SPIRIT ------ Toshio Masuda

The Raising Fighting Spirit is yet another great track part of the Anime series Naruto OST, composed by Toshio Masuda, often used as a battle theme during the series.

Toshio Masuda, as already mentioned in previous posts is a Japanese composer. He has composed and synthesized scores for several Japanese television shows and animated series.

This particular track is extremely cheerful and energetic... as several listeners put it:

THE HEART OF DARKNESS ------ Martin Iveson

Not so long ago we were talking about Malice of the Myrkoids, a track we had very little info about out there in the net, part of the MegaCD videogame Soulstar OST... today we are going to rescue another track from that wonderful OST: The Heart of Darkness, used for the exploration missions during the game... it conveys a unique and dense atmosphere... as if the listener was desperately trying to find something lost in the middle of complete darkness...

As mentioned before, apparently, Soulstar OST was composed by Martin Iveson. Martin worked for Core Design and made his first music with the Amiga. When Core Design started to work for Sega in 1992, he composed his best soundtracks for Mega CD, including the ingenious orchestral " Soulstar " compositons. As "Atjazz", he published some CDs which lead more in the Groove/Funk direction.

FEEL GOOD INC. ------ Gorillaz

"Feel Good Inc." is a song by Gorillaz, on their album Demon Days, featuring De La Soul. The song was released as the lead single from the album on May 9, 2005 in the United Kingdom (see 2005 in British music).

"Feel Good Inc." peaked at #2 in the UK Singles Chart and #14 in the U.S., at the time the band's highest positions. It also topped the Hot Modern Rock Tracks chart in the U.S., another first for the band, for eight consecutive weeks. In Damon Albarn's entire career to date, this is the only song to reach the top 40 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100. It peaked in the top 10 of fourteen countries, including at #1 in Spain.

This is a great and unique song about the risk people take and the emptiness they feel when they fill their lives with meaningless pleasure and cheap thrills that will make them "feel good" quicker. A truly awesome song, indeed... give it a try!

HEAVEN'S NOT ENOUGH ------ Steve Conte

"Heaven's not enough" is a brilliant song by American singer and rock musician Steve Conte, part of the Wolf's Rain anime series OST. Conte often works with composer Yoko Kanno and lyricist Tim Jensen creating soundtracks to anime series.

The track is totally mesmerizing, like a profound wave of emotion infused into the listener's ears... it starts slowly, very slowly... then percussion and guitars are added at 2:20 to lead into the sensational climax from 3:15 onwards...

Beautiful arrangement and vocals and fantastic lyrics... this is definitely a must-listen!
