OVERTURE ------ Nobuo Uematsu
"Overture" is the opening song for best-selling videogame Final Fantasy VIII, composed by Nobuo Uematsu. Epic music for an epic game: this is one of the most powerful tunes in FFVIII
Regular series composer Nobuo Uematsu wrote the soundtrack for Final Fantasy VIII. He tried to base the songs off of the emotional content of when they would be played, asserting that expressing the emotions he desires is more important than improving skills: "I think it will be a shame if we won't be able to cry as we play our own game".

FORCE YOUR WAY ------ Nobuo Uematsu
"Force your way" is the boss battle track from best-selling videogame Final Fantasy VIII.
Right, it's just a videogame tune, but it definitely has a great pounding rhythm and awesome drums building up as the track develops...

THE HEART OF DARKNESS ------ Martin Iveson
As mentioned before, apparently, Soulstar OST was composed by Martin Iveson. Martin worked for Core Design and made his first music with the Amiga. When Core Design started to work for Sega in 1992, he composed his best soundtracks for Mega CD, including the ingenious orchestral " Soulstar " compositons. As "Atjazz", he published some CDs which lead more in the Groove/Funk direction.

MALICE OF THE MYRKOIDS ------ Martin Iveson
Alright!, Malice of the Myrkoids, is a track we have very little info about out there in the net; it's part of the MegaCD videogame Soulstar OST, and its powerful and vibrating rhythm accompanies the shaking boss battles inside this wonderful space shooter.

BEYOND THE WASTELAND ------ Nobuo Uematsu
"Beyond the Wasteland" is a truly amazing song part of the Final Fantasy VII Advent Children Original Soundtrack originally composed by Nobuo Uematsu.
Final Fantasy VII Advent Children is the 2005 CGI film sequel to the original game. Its soundtrack album, was released on September 28, 2005, containing new material created specifically for the movie, as well as arrangements of tunes from the Final Fantasy VII soundtrack.
Both the original tracks and the arrangements cover a variety of musical styles, including orchestral, choral, classical piano, and rock music; Variety noted that the styles vary between "sparse piano noodlings, pop metal thrashings and cloying power ballads"...
...And that is precisely what makes the whole thing so great; that particular combination. In Beyond the wasteland, we will find heartbeats together with a haunting piano as the mysterious opening for the track that leads to a surprisingly powerful instrumental explosion with a rock-style background from 1:50 onwards...
Quite an experience. Give it a try!

Jiraiya's Theme is another great track part of the Anime series Naruto OST, composed by Toshio Masuda, and inspired by that really weird -but powerful and lovable- character, Jiraiya.
Toshio Masuda, as already mentioned in the previous post is a Japanese composer. He has composed and synthesized scores for several Japanese television shows and animated series.
This particular track builds up and supports the rhythm in a truly innovative way, blending rock guitars with traditional japanese instruments very cleverly.

ON THE PRECIPICE OF DEFEAT ------ Shiro Sagisu
"On the precipice of defeat" is a haunting melody by composer Shiro Sagisu, part of the "Bleach" anime series original soundtrack. It is probably the most significant track from this awesome OST, and it conveys a dense and powerful atmosphere that boosts the development of the action within the series.
BTW, Shiro Sagisu is a well-known Japanese music producer and composer. With a career spanning over 25 years (beginning in the late 1970s), he is best known for his work as a record producer for acts including Misia, Satoshi Tomiie, and Ken Hirai. Sagisu has also worked as a film composer for several anime and films and is well-known for his collaborations with Gainax, especially the soundtrack to Hideaki Anno's series Neon Genesis Evangelion and for the Bleach anime adaptation.
Even if you haven't had the chance of watching the anime series, this tune is definitely unique and worthwhile on its own. Give it a go!***LISTEN TO ON THE PRECIPICE OF DEFEAT, Shiro Sagisu
